It is not unusual for some children to slip between the gaps of some bed rails.
Depending on the height of the bed rails and the thickness of the mattress that you are using, then these might not match at all. If the mattress is higher than the bed rails, then the bed rails are not going to be of any help to you. Ensure to take this into consideration when selecting your toddler bed as well.
